Funkolites and Brodyites of the world… All Aboard!!

Just a quick update to let you know that our mighty Funkus Train continues its slow-but-steady chug down the tracks! We’ve recently completed two more recording sessions with bassist extraordinaire, Tim Steel and guitar wizard, Mike Bellini. And March will have us back in the studio working on more rhythm parts, including drums and keys, as well as even more bass and guitars. If all goes well, we’re hoping to lock down all rhythm tracks by the end of the month. Then it’s on to the next phase of editing, lyrics, and vocal recording. Busy, busy, busy to say the least. But the train chugs ever on!!

In other news, our ever-growing number of assorted videos are continuing to take shape, including NEW Sing-A-Longs from Ten Millionaires, NEW Readings from our companion book, “From The Files Of Funkus Brody”, and beginning Thursday March 7th, the premiere of our behind-the-scenes, making-the-new-album video series, FROM MILLIONAIRES TO NOTHING! We’ve been documenting the entire recording process over the past few years – from the initial conception, to planning, to songwriting, to recording – and NOW we’ll be presenting bits and pieces from the entire Making-Of Video to you… our loyal fans! So watch for the debut of Part One on Thursday, March 7th, and tell your friends and family – and pass the Funkus fun onto everyone you know!

Last but most certainly not least, we’d love to throw another huge shout-out and ginormous THANK YOU to our friend and fellow Funkus-compatriot-in-arms, Scott Wegner, for his amazing and wonderful Funkus Man artwork! From our Ten Millionaires CD liner notes, to our latest album construction men, Scott has provided us with fantastic and distinctive Funkus drawings over the years. Thanks again, Scott!
